Dnipro State Medical University (DSMU) is a center of education, science and culture in highly-developed industrial Dnipropetrovsk region. Being one of the oldest educational institutions of Ukraine, university was based on the 15th of September 1916 as the Katerynoslav higher female medical courses. For the years of its existence DSMU has prepared 50 thousand of doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Nowadays DSMU is one of the prominent higher educational institutions of Ukraine with unique integrated continuous training of specialists at three levels: premedical, undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The universitet staff considers constant improvement of educational quality to be the main task corresponding to present requirements. More than 600 teachers (among them 100 doctors and 350 candidates of sciences, 1 academician and 3 corresponding members of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 1 corresponding member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) help to master extremely difficult, responsible but infinitely grateful specialty at 7 faculties of medical university (three faculties of general medicine, dentistry, two international and post-graduate studies faculties).

Our university is a higher educational institution of the 4th accreditation level with the integrated continuous training of specialists at premedical, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Premedical level includes preparatory course the main goal of which is the language training and studying of general education disciplines.

Undergraduate studies include training in such specialties as general medicine, pediatrics, stomatology, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy.

Postgraduate studies include internship, master degree courses, PhD courses, clinical fellowship and specialization.

DSMU has partnership with higher education institutions of Germany, France, the USA, Canada, Russia, the People's Republic of China, some organizations in Sweden, the Netherlands, Great Britain, etc. DSMU is the member of the European Association of the International Medical Education, actively cooperates with World Health Organization and other establishments.
